Google Local Services
"Google has integrated a new search service into
Google.com with the launch of
Google Local.
It allows users to search online for sources of local information
drawing information from Google, including local business listings,
maps and useful web pages. The service has been launched in the US
with plans to roll out the technology to the UK although no timescale
is confirmed."
To add your business listing send
an e-mail to

Is Everything Working On Your Site?
When is the last time you visited your site as if
you were a visitor arriving for the first time? If it's been a while
we think you should do it. Call up your site and take a critical look
at the whole site. Are there any grammatical or spelling errors? Does
everything work? If you have a reservation request form, join an
e-mail list, gift certificate, or order form then place a test and
make sure the forms work and you get the notification through e-mail.
Checking your site periodically is good business. If anything is not
working properly, we need to know immediately.
Ease Your E-mail Angst
Here are some tips that might be time-savers for
dealing with e-mail.
- If you don't have time to read all new e-mail,
scan for content. You'll be able to respond to priority mail and get
back to the rest later.
- Feel free to ask individuals to stop sending
unimportant messages. If you get a lot of mail that's not spam but
just as useless, a short note could save time and irritation.
- Each time you get an unwanted e-mail on which
you've been copied with a slew of others, ask to be removed from the
list.
- Respond to e-mail only when a reply is
absolutely required. Needless responses just produce more unwanted
e-mail. Use clear descriptive subject headings, and state your
purpose in the first sentence.
