Random Free Hosting Site
We'd like to
congratulate Lounge Lizard for being the winner
of this month's free hosting site. At the beginning of each month we
will call up our own site's homepage. Whomever's site is the featured
site when the page loads will get FREE hosting of one domain for one
month. It's just our way of saying thank you.
Google
Maps
Google has changed the
way they provide search results. They noticed they had a number of
types of information (they call silos) that could be searched
vertically but that there was little cross information. For instance,
they had their list of Web sites, they also had map information, and
picture information, etc. but there was no way to combine it all this
information (horizontally). Google has changed that now.
How does this affect you? Well, the more
places (silos) your business shows up, the higher your site's ranking.
So now it's important to make sure your
business shows up on Google Maps. Give your
Web site (and business) a local presence through the Google Maps Local
Business Center where local businesses can get a free basic listing to
increase your site's ranking on Google. Get your business listed by

Annual
Vacation
We will be taking our
annual vacation the last week of June and into the first few days of
July. Of course we take our laptops with us (comm'on...we're geeks)
and will continue to work (some), but it's primarily a vacation. So
you may notice a slight delay on non-urgent work requests until we
return - bright-eyed and bushy-tailed!!
